Our annual event

Tuesday 24 March 2015

Our annual event was a lively and well-attended morning of discussion and learning, focusing on how regeneration affects young people and how young people can be more effectively engaged in regeneration in their neighbourhoods.

Two publications were launched at the event - a briefing paper on loneliness in the GoWell areas and our annual progress report.

Presentations from members of the GoWell team gave everyone an update on our research and progress so far. You can download the presentation slides below (PDFs).

Carol Tannahill - Overview of 2014/15 activity
Ade Kearns - Social capital and community cohesion for British-born residents and migrants
Anne Ellaway - Social capital, community cohesion and health
Julie Clark - Getting the most out of school: Reading, writing, arithmetic and …running?
Louise Lawson - Young people’s lived realities of relocation
Joanne Neary - Growing up with regeneration

Thanks to everyone who came along, especially to the young people from community groups within our study areas, for their valuable input. Download the TEEN Zone presentation slides.

Graham Ogilvie was artistically capturing the ideas and discussion at the event, so thanks to Graham too.
